Gardaí appeal for information about fatal hit and run in Kerry

Gardaí are looking to speak to the driver of a 4×4 which is believed to have been in the area when the cyclist was killed on Sunday.

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING A fatal hit and run in Kerry in which a cyclist was killed have appealed to the public for information.

Officers at Kanturk Garda station are anxious to speak to the driver of a grey Toyota 4×4, or to anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the area of Gneeveguilla between 7am and 10am on Sunday morning.

Gardaí say they have already received much assistance and support from the public in the ongoing investigation.

The victim was named yesterday as 42-year-old Paudie O’Leary, originally from Leamyglissane, Gneeveguilla, who died on Sunday after he was knocked down while cycling in the townland of Scrahanfadda.
