Gardaí appeal for information over sexual assault in Tallaght

Gardaí in Tallaght are investigating a sexual assault that allegedly occurred in the early hours of Friday morning.

GARDAÍ IN TALLAGHT are anxious to speak to a taxi driver who may be able to provide assistance to them in relation to an investigation into an alleged sexual assault.

The incident allegedly occurred last Friday between 4am and 5am in Sean Walsh Park in Tallaght.

Investigating officers say the taxi driver may be in a position to provide information. It is believed the driver picked up a passenger in the Parliament Street area of Temple Bar between 3am and 4am on the morning in question.

The passenger was then dropped off at the Watergate/Sean Walsh Park area of Tallaght at the Tallaght by-pass.
