Gardaí appeal for witnesses to fatal road collision in Co Wicklow yesterday

The driver of one of the vehicles, a man in his 20s, died as a result of his injuries.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision near Ballinaclash, Co. Wicklow on Thursday morning.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a two car collision that occurred on the R753 between Ballinaclash and Aughrim at approximately 8.35am.

The driver of one vehicle, a man in his 20s, died as a result of his injuries after being taken to St Vincent’s University Hospital Dublin.

A passenger in the other vehicle, a female child was conveyed to Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin as a precaution.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time of the incident, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
