Gardaí arrest man after cocaine and firearms seizure in Tallaght

Gardaí also say they have discovered a cannabis factory in Mullingar, Co Westmeath.

GARDAÍ HAVE SEIZED a quantity of cocaine with an estimated  street value of €21,000 in Dublin and have arrested one man after they also found a firearm and ammunition at the house in Tallaght.

As part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs in Tallaght, the seizure of the drugs and weapons took place at a house in the Donomore Park area of the south Dublin suburb yesterday morning.

The man arrested is in his 40s and will appear at Tallaght District Court tomorrow morning after he was detained under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

Gardaí say they also discovered a cannabis factory in Mullingar, Co Westmeath on Friday evening.

They said the factory “has capability of producing a substantial amount of the drug.”

No arrests were made and investigations are continuing.
