Gardaí arrest man on European arrest warrant

The man is wanted in connection with the 1998 murder of John Knocker in Dungannon, Co Tyrone.

A 48-YEAR-old man has been arrested on foot of a European arrest warrant.

Gardai attached to extradition section at Garda Headquarters in the Phoenix Park arrested the male shortly after midday today on Whitehall Road Dublin 12.

The man is wanted in connection with the murder of John Knocker on the 31 May 1998 in Dungannon, Co Tyrone.

He will appear before Court 29 in the Criminal Courts of Justice this afternoon.
