Their injuries are described as non-life threatening.

THREE GARDAÍ ARE in hospital this morning after the squad car they were traveling in crashed into a wall.

It’s understood that the gardaí were responding to a call when the single vehicle crash occurred in Gortnaskeha near Ballybunion, Co Kerry at 2:35am.

Emergency services attended the scene and the three gardaí from Listowel Garda Station were taken to Tralee General hospital.

Their injuries are described as non-life threatening.

A spokesperson for the Garda Ombusman’s office told TheJournal.ie that it is not investigating the collision as the incident does not meet the criteria for an investigation as no member of the public was injured in the crash.
