Gardaí break up fight in central Dublin involving gang of men carrying weapons

A INCIDENT IN the centre of Dublin last night saw gardaí called to break up a fight that involved a number of men carrying weapons.

It happened at around 3am this morning when a large group of males were observed fighting.

According to an eyewitness, once the initial fight broke out a second group arrived in a car and joined in with sticks and other weapons.

It is also believed that one of the men was carrying a hammer.

The scene was also attended by two ambulances, a fire engine, and the public order unit.

Gardaí attended the scene although no arrests were made.

One man was taken to St. James Hospital with minor injuries.

Gardaí have said that they are currently investigating the incident.
