Gardaí want to know if you've had a load of flowers go missing

They have made it clear that this isn’t a joke.

GARDAÍ HAVE ISSED an appeal for any members of the public who have had a substantial number of flowers go missing.

At first glance, the stash appears to include geraniums, hydrangeas and possibly some orchids (according to a google image search).

The items in question were recovered by Navan Gardaí and anyone with any information about where they might have come from is being encouraged to contact the station.

While this might seem like a bit of a bizarre request, they were quick to assure a Twitter user when asked that it wasn’t a joke.

So – do you recognise these flowers?

These were all stolen from graveyards around the Navan area. What special individual steals from the dead?

Fair dues to the Gardai, someone nurtured those flowers and some skum robbed them, glad the owner can recuperate them.

they’ll probably drive the culprit from Donegal to cork with a driver and escort and release them with a caution and the fare back home.meanwhile you could be having a heart attack and be told no resources available for you.

They asked for information that might help return the flowers to there owners, surely that’s what you’d expect them to do? Not very much of your tax money wasted

Some of them belong to my parents-in-law, taken from a family grave in Kildare. They’re pretty glad to be getting them back, and that the low life that took them was caught. They wouldn’t be getting them back only for this post

I had some lovely lettuce growing in a window box a couple of days before it started raining last week. Went our the day after the rain and all that remains were leafless stalks. Anyone know of a particularly nasty death for slugs?
