GARDAÍ FROM PEARSE Street in Dublin stopped to help a motorist with a flat tyre and ended up impounding their car.

Gardaí said when they stopped to help the driver they noticed that all the car’s tyres were bald.

They also discovered the driver had no insurance, no NCT certificate or no tax.

They said there were also “driving licence and brake light offences”.

The car was impounded, and gardaí said penalty points and a court appearance will follow.
