Three gardaí injured after patrol car struck by vehicle during the night

The incident happened at around 3.30am on Ramelton Road, Letterkenny.

THREE GARDAÍ HAVE been injured after their patrol car was struck by another car in Donegal during the night.

The incident happened at around 3.30am on Ramelton Road, Letterkenny.

Three male gardaí sustained minor injuries after their parked patrol car was struck.

A 17-year-old man driving the car was arrested at the scene until the Road Traffic Act and taken to Letterkenny Garda Station

He was later released without charge.

The three gardaí were treated at Letterkenny University Hospital.

An investigation is ongoing.
