Gardaí investigate after suspected arson attack at medical centre

This happened in Limerick shortly before 5am this morning.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING a suspected arson attack at a walk-in doctors clinic in Limerick.

The incident happened at the local authority facility, called ‘The Clinic’, on St Nessan’s Road in Dooradoyle in the city.

Limerick Fire and County Fire Service were alerted to the fire shortly before 5am and took around one hour to extinguish it.

Thankfully, the fire was contained to one downstairs room and nobody was injured.

Gardaí have confirmed this morning that they are treating it as criminal damage.

There have been no arrests and the building has been sealed off this morning to allow a technical examination to take place.
