Monaghan house ransacked by three masked raiders

Gardaí are appealing for information regarding the burglary. It is not yet known if anything was taken.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING an aggravated burglary in which a house in County Monaghan was ransacked on Sunday evening.

As many as three masked men entered a house at Blaeberry Walk, Castleblaney, at 9.30pm and threatened those inside.

They then ransacked the house.

However, it is not yet clear if anything was taken from the house during the raid.

Gardaí are appealing for information regarding an ‘old type’ silver BMW with an 01-D registration that was seen in the area on the night.

It was also spotted in the Casteblaney area between 6pm and 10pm on Friday evening.
