Three men will appear in court this evening over the large scale country-wide theft.

GARDAÍ HAVE RECOVERED a large amount of property believed to have been stolen in burglaries around the country.

During a planned search of an industrial unit in Meath, gardaí seized 18 plasma televisions, numerous laptops, games consoles, cameras, mobile phones, builders equipment, and a large amount of jewellery.

Two motorcycles believed to have been stolen were also recovered from the unit in Batterstown.

Gardaí said the investigation into organised crime gangs involved “large scale country-wide theft, burglaries and other criminal enterprises”.

Three men – two in their 20s and one in his 30s – were arrested at the scene on Friday afternoon and will appear before Navan District Court this evening.
