Gardaí questioning four men following incident at Ennis school

It is understood that one man was carrying a machete outside the primary school.

GARDAÍ IN CLARE investigating an incident at a school in Ennis this afternoon are continuing to question four men.

The four men, who range in age from late-teens to early 20s, are being held at Ennis and Shannon garda stations.

They are being questioned in relation to criminal damage to a car and an alleged assault.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

RTÉ reports that one man was threatened with a machete outside the school.
