Gardaí recover four stolen cars, arrest four

The cars recovered were all stolen in the last week, gardai believe.

FOUR CARS STOLEN from across Dublin have been recovered by an ongoing garda operation.

Gardai from the Dublin North Crime Task Force searched a yard at Courtlough, Balbriggan at approximately 7.10pm last night.

During the course of the search, four vehicles – a BMW 316, Audi A5, Audi Q3 and a Nissan Qashqai- were found.

All of the cars were stolen in the course burglaries in the last week around the Greater Dublin area.

In addition, a large quantities of car parts were located on the premises.

The scene is currently being technically examined.

The Garda Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit (SMVIU) are assisting and attempting to trace the identity of various car parts found.

Four people ranging in ages from their late 20’s to early 30’s were arrested, three at the premises and a fourth person a short time later nearby.

All four are currently being detained at Ballymun, Coolock and Balbriggan Garda Stations pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
