Gardaí called out to remove swan from bridge in Dublin

“I was here when this was all water…”

COMMUTERS IN DUBLIN were unexpectedly held up earlier today after a feathered culprit decided to commandeer a lane of the Samuel Beckett bridge.

Nesting down, a stubborn swan managed to stop traffic and gardaí were called out to assist in removing it from the bridge.

The incident happened shortly after 11am this morning, and after a brief interaction, a gardaí spokesperson explained the swan decided to leave “of its own accord”.

It is understood there will be no further investigation into the incident.
