Garth Brooks just added a third date at Croke Park

And the tickets are already on sale…

COUNTRY STAR GARTH Brooks will play a third date at Croke Park next summer, promoters have confirmed.

He’ll be playing GAA HQ on Sunday 27 July, in addition to gigs on the Friday and Saturday of the same weekend.

The tickets for the new date — priced at €65.45 — went on sale this morning, after thousands of nostalgic fans queued at stores and went online to try and secure tickets for the original dates.

Hundreds of nostalgic Garth fans spent the night outside Ticketmaster outlets around the country in order to make sure they weren’t disappointed.

The comeback shows were confirmed last week, with Brooks himself making an appearance at the stadium to break the news.

Here’s what he had to say at the time:

Before we go back on tour in the Fall of 2014, I want to challenge myself, the band, and crew.  In ’97, we were lucky enough to play Croke Park, the stadium was under construction. 130,000+ of some of the greatest fans in the world.

I was quoted then as saying ‘When this stadium is finished, I would love to come back and try to fill it again…this time to the brink.’…and we’re back to do just that.
