George's Street closed after rush-hour accident

A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with an SUV.

A MAJOR DUBLIN street was forced to close at rush hour after a collision.

George’s Street was closed from the junction of Aungier Street to Fade Street after a motorcycle and an SUV collided, injuring the motorcyclist.

Gardaí and Dublin Fire Brigade were called to the scene as the injured man was treated and taken to hospital.

The road has since reopened, though traffic is said to be heavy.
