Here is what Gerald Kean and Lisa Murphy were doing in casual sportswear last night

The celebrity pair were taking part in the ad-break challenge as part of Operation Transformation.

YOU MAY BE wondering why showbiz couple Gerald Keane and Lisa Murphy were donning casual sports gear during Operation Transformation’s ad break last night.

Well, the reason is in keeping with the bigger aim of the programme.

Members of the public are encouraged to capitalise on the time during the ads to do some exercise.

The activities shown have been designed by Operation Transformation personal trainer Karl Henry.

While the clip is lighthearted, Kean suffers from diabetes and sees the programme as having a serious purpose.

Speaking about the programme, solicitor Gerald Kean said: “When Lisa and I were approached to take part, we were very happy to support the programme. I think Operation Transformation is one of the best programmes on television.

It is significantly helpful to people trying to exercise and eat well, especially those like myself who are overweight with diabetes.

Former participants in the ad-break challenge have been George Hook along with his grandkids and Daniel and Majella O’Donnell.
