Girl, 21 months, killed in Tallaght road accident

The toddler was struck by a car in the Ardmore Walk residential area at 5:30pm yesterday evening.

A 21-MONTH-OLD girl has died after being struck by a car in southwest Dublin.

The girl was fatally injured when she struck by a car at about 5:30pm yesterday evening.

The incident occurred at Ardmore Walk, a residential area outside Tallaght, close to Citywest.

The girl was taken to Tallaght Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the car was not injured.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and Garda forensic collision investigators are due at the scene later today.
