Appeal after 6-year-old girl seriously injured in crash

The young girl was injured in a crash on Dublin’s Malahide Road.

GARDAÍ IN THE Coolock area of Dublin have renewed their appeal for information on a road crash last week in which a 6-year-old girl was seriously injured.

They’re looking for anyone who might have seen it to come forward.

The collision happened at around 7.20pm last Wednesday on the Malahide Road, close to the roundabout at Darndale.

Officers are also hoping to trace the movements of a Renault Kango van with a 07 D registration, both before and after the crash.

“To date significant progress has been made in relation to the case,” a Garda statement said.

“A van has been seized and is being technically examined, and the driver of the van has been identified and is assisting Gardaí with the investigation.”

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Coolock Station on 01 6664200, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
