18-year-old arrested after three men from same family injured in knife attack

Two of the men were chased from a house and assaulted at a local petrol station.

AN 18-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested by police after allegedly attacking three men last night.

All three victims of the attack are believed to be members of the same family.

The incident occurred north of Belfast at Glengormley, Co Antrim at about 11pm last night.

A 20-year-old man sustained a serious cut to his forehead after he was attacked with a knife at a house on the Antrim Road at that time.

Subsequently, two men, aged 51 and 74, sustained cuts to their hands after they were chased from the property by the suspect and attacked close to a local petrol station.

The arrested male was detained at the scene by PSNI officers. He remains in custody.

“This is a busy area and we are keen to speak with witnesses or anyone with information that could assist the investigation,”  PSNI Detective Sergeant John McKendry said.
