Poll: Do you agree with the Good Friday alcohol ban?

Or will you be having a tipple today?

PUBS ACROSS IRELAND have shut their doors today as the annual ban on sales of alcohol for Good Friday kicks in.

The pros and cons have long been debated. Science shows that we are able to survive at least one day without alcohol.

However, others argue that it is an archaic hangover from when the Catholic Church had a much greater influence on Irish society.

We want to know what you think: Do you agree with the Good Friday alcohol ban?

Poll Results:

No (12356)
Yes (5324)
Yes, and we should have more days like this (2765)
I don't know (695)
