POPULAR MORNING SHOW ‘Good Morning Britain’ appears in schedules for UTV Ireland from next week.
It follows complaints from viewers since the Dublin-based broadcaster’s launch, at the start of this month.
The ITV breakfast show had previously been available on the Northern Ireland-based UTV service.
Presented by Susanna Reid, Ben Shephard, Charlotte Hawkins and Sean Fletcher, the two-and-a-half hour weekday show will air from 6am on Monday, with opt-outs for ‘Ireland Live’ news updates.
It replaces a block of ‘teleshopping’ and episodes of ‘Loose Women’
UTV managing director Micahel Wilson has been taking to Twitter in recent weeks to tell people the station was listening to feedback and that they were “looking into what we can do”.

What does that even mean??
It means it’s an unnecessary, patronising crap station that doesn’t show Broadchurch, Benidorm or Birds of a Feather. Bring back UTV. I miss Julian.
Just finished season 1 of broadchurch. I wanted to know what all the fuss was about. Great show, now if only there was somewhere I could watch season 2………

If you have a sky box you can still add UTV in the extra channels in the services menu.. Just Google sky codes and it will come up

The minute someone tells me they watch any variation of UTV or ITV I immediately think less of them.

Haha no disrespect to ya Simon, was just obvious you were from the home of GMB. Yet they seemed to display it as Irish calls for GMB. Makes no odds to me what they put on their own channel. Would have thought they’d give something more relevant to the new country they launched in a shot is all.

Why show British TV on a new Irish TV channel… Esp talkshows??? Surely you can get an Irish talkshow on instead?!?! Not impressed with this new channel at all. UTV Ireland, showing you the best of British TV from the comfort of your irish home.!!…. We have enough British channels and yes they are great but to create a new ‘irish channel’ and keep adding British shows has turned me right off.
TV 3 Have a fantastic Irish morning programme, from 7 to 10am why would we have the need to look at a programme with no Irish content ?

They should rename the channel UTV Britain. The only Irish stuff on the channel is mostly the news the rest has nothing to do with Ireland. TV3 has become more of an Irish channel recently.

1) Its broadcast in HD
