Good news: There's little or no rain over Ireland this morning

It’s looking good, but not for long…

YESTERDAY WE BROUGHT you the rainfall radar shot of doom (if you lived in Leinster or Munster).

Well today we’re happy to bring you this pleasant shot from Met Éireann’s rainfall radar this morning:

The meteorological agency says that today we can expect the odd shower but there may be some bright or sunny spells thrown in there throughout the day.

However, the rain will return with a vengeance later tonight with outbreaks of rain and drizzle moving in from the Irish sea. Tomorrow, it will be rainy in the southern counties but mainly dry elsewhere.

It’s not shaping up to be a particularly good weekend either with some sunny spells in the mornings but a risk of showers in the afternoons and evenings.

Surprise! Last month was the wettest April in 14 years
