Google animation shows what happens when you send an email

GOOGLE HAS PRODUCED an animation which depicts what happens when you send an email.

The ‘Story of Send’ follows the message from the moment you click ‘send’ to its final destination.

The animation explains the email’s passage through the “closest Google data center” and offers an insight into how the data is protected. It’s also explained how Google saves energy and allows its workers to wear shorts to work:

You email then travels through a networking room to the servers that handle Gmail, where it enters ‘the cloud’. It’s filtered for spam, scanned for viruses and sent on to the recipient.
