Here's what the world searched for in 2013

Google has put together a short video featuring the major news stories and events that dominated 2013.

WITH THE END of the year approaching, Google has released its Zeitgeist results, showing the top trends and searches for each country in 2013.

Among the most searched terms in Ireland were Paul Walker, Ryanair.ie, the Property Tax, the Eurovision and Oxygen.

It was also the year where Irish people searched for Breaking Bad, Conor McGregor, the Lions, Snapchat, and twerking at different points throughout the year.

As part of its end of year review, the company also put together this touching video reminding you of the major events, viral videos and global news stories that happened in 2013.

Although the sooner we can forget about the Harlem Shake, the better.
