GPO girl to fly home to Australia tonight

Samatha Azzopardi will be repatriated with a view to reuniting her with her family and Australian authorities.

SAMANTHA AZZOPARDI IS this evening being returned to her native Australia according to gardaí.

The woman, who was identified earlier this week after being held in the care of the HSE since 10 October, will be repatriated with a view  to reuniting her with her family and the authorities in Australia.

Her travel is to be facilitated by An Garda Siochana in consultation with all of the relevant authorities.

Earlier today it was announced that Azzopardi would be moved into the HSE’s adult mental health care services after being discharged from a care order placed by the courts.
