Man due in court over Grafton Street attacks

Two men were stabbed and a woman was assaulted in the early hours of the morning.

A MAN IS due in court this morning in connection with a number of assaults around Grafton Street in Dublin city centre in the early hours of Tuesday.

A 31-year-old man was stabbed in the chest after being confronted by two men near Burger King at the Stephen’s Green end of Grafton Street at around 1am on Tuesday.

Minutes later, a 35-year-old man was stabbed in the back and side and a 22-year-old woman were assaulted in an attack on Chatham Row nearby.

All three were taken to St James’s Hospital for treatment.

The 25-year-old man will appear before Dublin District Court at 10.30am today over the attacks.

A second man arrested in connection with the attacks is still being held in custody at Pearse Street Garda station.
