Dublin Fire Brigade called to BT2 after reports of smoke coming from the roof

Four units of the fire brigade attended the scene this afternoon.

THERE WAS COMMOTION on Grafton Street this afternoon as four units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended a scene at BT2.

Dublin Fire Brigade confirmed to TheJournal.ie that a passer-by had called them reporting to have seen smoke coming from the roof of the store. Crews from Tara Street and Dolphin’s Barn attended the scene to investigate.

The scene was short-lived, with the fire brigade tweeting this update a short time ago.

The doors of the store appear to be shut for the time being, but Dublin Fire Brigade have confirmed that they have left the scene. It is not understood if there was any damage caused in the incident as BT2 and Brown Thomas could not be reached at the time of publishing.
