Graham Dwyer moved after death threat from another prisoner

Dwyer lodged an appeal against his murder conviction on Monday.

GRAHAM DWYER HAS been moved after a threat was made on his life.

Midlands Prison moved Dwyer after he was involved in an altercation with another prisoner.

It’s understood that the argument may have started over tobacco.

However, the threat was taken seriously enough to move Dwyer from the E3 landing to the C1 landing.

The E3 landing of the Midlands Prison is where some of the most dangerous rapists in Ireland are housed. While the C1 is often used for the prison’s most disruptive prisoners.

The move was for his own protection and it’s not known how long Dwyer will stay at the new location.

Graham Dwyer was found guilty of stabbing childcare worker Elaine O’Hara to death for his own sexual gratification.

On Monday he lodged an appeal against his murder conviction.
