An actual Halloween costume, on sale in the US. Costumeish

Poll: Can a house party Halloween costume ever be 'inappropriate'?

Do some people go too far?

HALLOWEEN’S ON THE way. And as seems to happen around this time every year, stories about controversial and outrageous costumes are making the headlines – particularly online.

Now, clearly costumes like this one of the infamous lion-shooting US dentist or any of those sexy ‘whatever-you’re-having-yourself’ outfits (like this one) wouldn’t be entirely appropriate at a child’s party.

But is there such a thing as an ‘inappropriate’ costume – if you’re heading to a house party with friends. Isn’t being a little bit distasteful all part of the fun?

What do you think?
