Poll: Has getting older made you happier?

Happiness and age may be related, it seems.

ACCORDING TO A new Eurostat survey, Irish people get happier as they age.

According to the survey, we rate a 7.7 out of 10 between 16 and 24, but that dips to 7.2 between 35 and 49, before picking up again and reaching an even 8.0 after retirement.

In the EU-28, we rank behind just seven nations in overall happiness.

But, does ageing affect your happiness?

We’re asking: Has getting older made you happier?

Poll Results:

Yes (4411)
No (3110)
It's about the same (1422)
