The Happy Pear withdraws batch of 'Hero Sprouts' over bacteria concern

The company is voluntarily withdrawing one batch of the product as a precaution.

THE HAPPY PEAR company is voluntarily withdrawing a batch of one of its products due to the possible presence of a harmful bacteria.

One batch of the ‘Hero Sprouts’ product is affected and is being withdrawn as a precaution. The product contains a mix of sprouted alfafa, broccoli, clover and radish seeds.

The affected batch has the use by date 10/05/2016.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland said further testing is underway and if harmful bacteria are detected, consumers will be informed.
