WHILE HARRISON FORD is used to saving the world in the likes of Star Wars and Indiana Jones, he ended up coming to the real-life rescue of a woman who was involved in a car accident north of Los Angeles.
Ford (75) helped a driver who crashed her car into a ditch off the side of a highway in the Santa Paula area of California on Sunday afternoon.
The woman’s car had veered off the State Route 126 road and Ford pulled over to assist when he was on his way back from the airport, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
TMZ reports that Ford was travelling behind the car when the driver lost control and crashed into the ditch.
He helped the driver out of the crashed car and she was then taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Ford is no stranger to helping out in emergency situations.
In 2015, he was in a plane crash after experiencing engine trouble with a World War II-era plane in California. He performed an emergency landing and escaped the crash with a few broken bones.
Last February, he also almost crashed his Husky plane into a Boeing 373 when landing at California’s John Wayne airport.
