A new path is being opened today.

A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED path on Croagh Patrick will be opened later today.

The pathway was hand-built over three years and will run 4km from the base of the mountain to the church at the summit.

Every year thousands of people climb Croagh Patrick for the annual Reek Sunday pilgrimage.

The upgraded path aims to make the pilgrimage safer and more accessible, as well as prevent further erosion on the mountain.

So today we want to know: Have you climbed Croagh Patrick?
