MET ÉIREANN HAS released their climate statement for summer 2024, confirming that this summer was the coolest summer in nine years.

The forecaster’s latest seasonal weather assessment revealed that the average national temperature for this summer was 14.5 degrees Celsius, just over a quarter of a degree lower than the 1991-2020 long-term average.

So after the coolest summer in nearly a decade and an autumn chill in the air, and we want to know if you’ve been tempted to stick on the heating yet.

So today we’re asking: Have you turned on the heating yet?
