• FResh talks aimed at resolving the ongoing pay dispute between Aer Lingus and the pilots’ union taking part in industrial action broke down.
• Armed gardaí were deployed to the home of Taoiseach Simon Harris following a hoax bomb threat. 
• Two teenage boys died after being involved in a collision between a bus and an e-scooter in Waterford.
