Poll: How much would you be willing to pay for health insurance?

We want to know.

THE ISSUE OF UNIVERSAL health insurance is back in the news this week with reports that plans to introduce the Fine Gael pre-election promise seem all but abandoned.

Minister Leo Varadkar confirmed yesterday that the model originally proposed by the party would be too expensive for families and possibly not deliverable even in the next term of government.

And a new ESRI report published today projects that its introduction could cost taxpayers between €1,200 and €2,000 a year.

This morning, we’re asking: How much would you be willing to pay for health insurance?

Poll Results:

 €1,000 (3250)
 €500 (3166)
 I wouldn't pay for it. (2985)
 €2,000 (921)
