Two 14-year-olds and a 17-year-old were spotted on the bike

TWO FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLDS and a 17-year-old were detained by police in Belfast after a PSNI helicopter pursued them.

The bike was stolen from Wellington Place, according to police.

The three youths were spotted on it “travelling from the Divis area to the Lisvarna Heights area of West Belfast at approximately 9.15am” yesterday, according to Inspector Alan Swann.

“Air support alerted local police on the ground who quickly made their way to the Lisvarna Heights area.

“The three youths abandoned the motorcycle and made off, however, air support kept observing them and they were apprehended by officers at approximately 10.30am.
