  • Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was shot in a car park outside a gym in Balbriggan.
  • Eight people have been charged in connection with the killing of 20-year-old Dale Creighton in Tallaght earlier this year. [RTÉ]
  • A man is due in court tomorrow morning charged in connection with a shooting in a pub in Sallynoggin, Dublin on Monday.
  • Northern Ireland’s Police Ombudsman has been granted permission to seek a full judicial review against the PSNI over claims it’s refusing to provide information linked to 60 murders. [RTÉ]
  • The Ombudsman is to investigate how public hospitals handle complaints and he wants your help to investigate. 
  • Gardaí discovered 1,000 stolen beer kegs in searches as part of a metal theft day of action in May. Over 70 premises were searched and 27 people were arrested.
  • The High Court had made orders to freeze the assets of Eden College directors. [RTÉ]
  • Today marked the start of the Special Olympics Ireland Games in Limerick, the games will continue until Sunday.

IRAQ: Obama has announced this evening that he will not send troops to Iraq but that he’s examining other options to help Iraq counter a Sunni extremist offensive.

MALAYSIA: The families of the passengers on board flight MH370 have started receiving compensation payments of $50,000 each from Malaysia Airlines’s insurer.

ENGLAND: A couple spent their wedding night apart and in jail cells after being arrested for assaulting staff at the hotel where they were celebrating their wedding.
