€750,000 worth of heroin was found in a car in Louth last night

A 38-year-old man was arrested.

A MAN WAS arrested after heroin with an estimated value of €750,000 was discovered during the search of a car in Louth last night.

At around 10pm gardaí searched the car in Castlebellingham and arrested a 38-year-old man. He’s now being held at Dundalk Garda Station.

The search was part of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Leinster area.

Gardaí from the Garda National Drugs Unit and the Organised Crime Unit were involved in the seizure.

Gardaí say that drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities.
