There are major delays to trains out of Dublin - and people aren't happy

Not the best time for a breakdown.

PROBLEMS WITH A freight train in Kildare are causing major delays for trains in and out of Heuston this evening.

In its latest update on the situation, issued at 5.30pm, Irish Rail said the problem train should be cleared within 20 minutes.

In the meantime, expect significant delays.

 

As you might imagine, the rail company is coming in for quite a bit of criticism as it responds to the problem…

And, while they’ll be doling out some teas and coffees to marooned passengers – there are no plans to let people raid the drinks trolley just yet…
