ANYONE WHO USES Facebook’s On This Day feature knows that it’s a mixed bag.

Sometimes it reminds you of that gas time your friend pushed you around in an abandoned trolley while you were absolutely plastered.

Other times, it reminds you of an unbelievably boring status you posted back in 2012.

But the worst thing Facebook Memories is guilty of is reminding you of your stupid ex.

Can you not, Facebook?

What makes you think we want to see a photo of our ex at a barbecue in 2012?

We can all agree that it’s a total nightmare.

But finally, Facebook has come up with a way to ensure that your Facebook Memories will never include photos of your ex.

People can now use filters to ensure that they’re not reminded of certain people or dates on Facebook.

Type On This Day into Facebook’s search bar. In the top right, you’ll see Preferences. Click that, and you’ll see this screen.

Don’t want to be reminded of a traumatic event? Just tell Facebook.

And don’t want to see photos of your ex and you at your cousin’s wedding? Worry no more.
