Gardaí looking for 06 VW Transporter van in connection with hit-and-run over Christmas

The 27-year-old was taken to Beaumont Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

GARDAÍ IN BALBRIGGAN are seeking information on a hit-and-run over Christmas that left a man in a serious condition in hospital.

The man was struck by a vehicle on the R128 Skerries to Loughshinny road at around 1.30am on 27, shortly after St Stephen’s Day celebrations ended.

The 27-year-old was taken to Beaumont Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

Investigating gardai are particularly anxious to speak to anyone who may have observed the movements of a blue Volkswagen Transporter van 06-C-***** which left Strand Street, Skerries sometime after 1.30am on 27 December 2016 and travelled on the R128 towards Loughshinny.

Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact Balbriggan Garda Station on 01 8020510, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
