Harry Potter fans will love this little bit of magic that happened in Heuston yesterday

All aboard the Hogwarts Express!

ADMIT IT.

Your days of reading Harry Potter may be behind you, but you still fantasise about receiving an acceptance letter from Hogwarts and boarding a train at Platform 9 3/4.

So imagine the surprise of some Irish Rail passengers yesterday when they saw this on the departures board.

It couldn’t be… surely?

Be still our beating hearts.

What is this sorcery, you ask?

It was all part of an event organised by Trinity Ents, which saw students board the Hogwarts Express dressed as witches and wizards  to be whisked off to a top secret location.

Bravo, everyone.

870 students travelled on the two 7 carriage trains to Limerick and back to Dublin in the early hours of this morning. This is the third and biggest trip Trinity have organised with Iarnrod Eireann. The first was to Sligo and the 2nd was to Galway. A different theme every time.

It’s a shame JK is backing the murderous apartheid Israeli regime.

    1. The brilliance of a book, has absolutely nothing to do with the authors political stance.

    2. You’re statement is incorrect. “JK Rowling speaks out against ‘brutal’ treatment of Palestinian people by Israel” – http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/israel/11959355/JK-Rowling-speaks-out-against-brutal-treatment-of-Palestinian-people-by-Israel.html

    1. When an author espouses a view unpleasant or abhorrent to me it shades my opinion of the author. If Jimmy saville, for example, came back from hell and wrote a book, I wouldn’t read it no matter how brilliant I was told it was.

    2. Educate yourself chief, look a little behind what you’re shown. https://electronicintifada.net/blogs/sarah-irving/harry-potter-fans-heartbroken-author-urges-engagement-israel
