Yikes! This enormous hole opened up in a road in Manchester today

It’s 40 feet deep.

A MASSIVE HOLE opened up on a dual-carriageway in Manchester today.

Transport officials have been warning motorists to avoid the area entirely if possible.

The carriageway collapse happened on Mancunian Way – a busy commuter route – earlier this afternoon

It’s around 15 feet wide and 40 feet deep, according to the Manchester Evening News.

A workman told the paper it happened around midday and that the road was closed immediately.

It had been raining heavily in the area.

Engineers have been dispatched to the scene.
