What can I get around Ireland... for exactly €375,000?

Get the keys to a picture-perfect redbrick in Kildare, or a period home in Cork.

FINDING A HOME that matches your budget without compromising your list of must-haves can be tricky, but we’re here to make that task easier.

Each week we round up a selection of homes currently on the market in Ireland around the same price point, giving you a snapshot of what a particular amount could get you.

This week, we’re looking at properties around the country with an asking price of exactly €375,000 — from a coach house in Fermoy to a fixer-upper in a Dublin suburb.

Fermoy, Co Cork — €375,000

In Cork, the budget of €375k will land you this four-bedroom, three-bathroom home just a five minute walk from the town of Fermoy. It’s set atop a private drive and kept private by eight-foot stone walls. The home itself was built in 1812 as a coach house for one of the founders of Fermoy. It was restored in 2003, ensuring that it has added modern comforts, including underfloor heating.

Inside, you’ll find the home has retained period details, like exposed stone, beams and arches. Outside, have a look for the secret garden amongst the manicured lawns.

Naas, Co Kildare — €375,000

The kitchen and dining are are open plan, and double doors lead to the living area, which has a bay window for added light throughout the day. The back garden is west-facing and not overlooked, and the home sits in a quiet spot in a peaceful cul de sac.

This home is close to a local shopping hub, with Argos, Tesco, Woodies and more. You’ll also be able to hop on the motorway with a five minute drive and head into Dublin’s city centre in under an hour, depending on the traffic.

Inside, you’ll find a blank slate ready for you to put your own slant on. The home is fully painted and partially floored, with brass finishing throughout, but many of the design decisions will be yours to make.
