What can I get around Ireland... for exactly €500,000?

From a spacious Dublin 15 home to a Tipperary property in need of TLC.

FINDING A HOME that matches your budget without compromising your list of must-haves can be tricky, but we’re here to make that task easier.

Each week we round up a selection of homes currently on the market in Ireland around the same price point, giving you a snapshot of what a particular amount could get you.

This week, we’re looking at properties around the country with an asking price of exactly €500,000 – from a Tipperary fixer-upper to a Kildare home with a stone facade.

Castleknock, Dublin 15 – €500,000

For €500,000, you could pick up a four-bedroom, three-bathroom detached home in Castleknock. 12 Mulberry Crescent has over 1300 square feet of space, and is bright throughout thanks to bay windows on the ground and first floors. Double doors lead from the living room to the dining room, with another set of doors opening from here to the back garden.

The home is situated on a corner lot, with plenty of green space to the front and rear.

For the same price, in Tipperary, Glenview is a five-bedroom, two-bathroom detached home just steps from the River Suir. Twelve foot ceilings and large windows will welcome you into this Georgian dwelling that has been updated over the years. While the property could do with an update, period details have been preserved and cosmetic changes would have it looking fine in no time. A basement level offers extra pantry space as well as a wine cellar.

In addition to the main house, there is also a stable, coach house, garage and glass house on the property, which offers easy access to Clonmel town.
