What can I get around Ireland... for exactly €500,000?

Choose from beach access in Wexford or an architectural delight in Offaly.

FINDING A HOME that matches your budget without compromising your list of must-haves can be tricky, but we’re here to make that task easier.

Each week we round up a selection of homes currently on the market in Ireland around the same price point, giving you a snapshot of what a particular amount could get you.

This week, we’re looking at properties around the country with an asking price of exactly €500,000 — from a four-bed in Co Wexford with access to Ballymoney beach, to an architecturally designed home in Co Offaly.

Rathfarnham, Dublin — €500,000

In Rathfarnham, Dublin 14, you’ll find a three-bedroom, one-bathroom semi-detached home just off the River Dodder. The home measures over 1,300 square feet, and the garden at the back is spacious as well. You’ll be within walking distance of Rathfarnham and Terenure villages, giving you an ideal location in this sought-after southside area.

Inside, the home could benefit from cosmetic upgrades, and the garage has previously been converted in order to make the downstairs of the property more spacious. The kitchen/breakfast area/dining areas are all open plan, and the living room has intricate original details.
